19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev won his first championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him dropping out of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-term mentor Cervara.
Presently training with Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's initial title since the Rome competition and first on a hard surface from spring of the previous year.
The win also signifies the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters at once, so to win a championship is really nice," said ranked player the champion.
"This title is in honour of my child her name, because the maiden victory I won when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, comprising in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's defensive play style and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led some to question if his capacity to play at the highest level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an improved serving game.
He came back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, taking four of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden tour victory, took control to force a final set.
The opponent defended four early-game opportunities in a competitive third set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev clinched victory with a shot at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
